When it comes to potty, women can do for every gender

When it comes to potty, women can do for every gender!?
in my country (malaysia), female teachers can help/assist the female or male students (3-4 years old) during their potty or bathe! BUT when it comes to male teachers, they can only help the boy students during their potty or shower. it sounds unfair to me! cause female teachers should only handle the female students while the male teachers are doing the same thing also. most people or parents think that only males can molest or do anything bad to the girl students and the female teachers wont! PLEASE! even them can molest children in some way! because of this matter, most (almost all) kindergarten/preschool teachers are females! they are easily get hired once they are females and when it comes to males, the interviewers think triple first before hiring them! i think all of the kindergarten/preschools in my country are alike! ONLY hospitals are fair! i heard from a friends said that female nurses can only assist the female patientsand the male nurses can only assist the male patients! that sounds fair to me! tell me what do u think? are u very sure that female teacher wont do bad things? and only men are BEAST? please! be fair!

This is because this world has become a very sick place.
2 :
Well i heard that many male teachers rape the students but i still think you should be a teacher bro
3 :
**I agree with you. Women can molest children also. "We" should not be excused. But you're a teacher right? you know that your role as a teacher is to act as the 2nd parent of your students. Meaning, you act as the 2nd father of your students. As a father, are you willing to assist your children with potty or washing? Not all male teachers can do potty or bathing to their students. I know you're not really after that. You're after about the employment of female teachers. Female teachers act as the 2nd mom of her children. They do, perform, act and love like the real mom of her students, some things a father could never do. I'm not being biased. These are "maybe" the reasons why in your country, they hire female teachers more.
4 :
Your question is very interesting and worth pondering. But most importantly, you should ask yourtself honestly, why do you bother so much about this matter? There are so many questions in this world and life which answers are self-explained! That's why we don't ask every question.

Gender equality, pls comment

Gender equality, pls comment!!!?
There are many people who are abuzz , and not least, appalled and outraged by the issue of gender discrimination in Malaysia . Countless rapes, murders, sexual harassment, and brutish perpetrations towards women have been reported in newspapers, television and other media. Not surprisingly, many NGOs and women associations, down to the people themselves, have aired their grouses and anger over this issue. They alleged gender discrimination is the main culprit behind these incidences. Accordingly, women in the country demands the government to do more for women in terms of their socio-economic stature, safety, accessibility to education and work opportunities and their importance in the country’s development. All of these issues culminate into what we call ‘gender equality’ as normally perceived by many of us. But sadly, many failed to see the need of gender equality for men. The welfare of men has been overlooked while the welfare of women is gradually improving in many aspects. They often perceived that only women who needs protection in terms of their right. There are men who also need aid from the government and society in many aspects. I am not saying that it is wrong for women to fight for their right, but do bear in mind that men are also human beings who need to be treated fairly not only by the government but also in the eye of society. The stereotyping towards men need to be changed with an open mind. As I have mentioned earlier, the media often portrays women as the victim of rapes, sexual harassments, job opportunities and other social problems like divorce and depression. But for men there are many issues close to their hearts but due to social stigma of labeling men as ‘strong, independent and in-control). Men are not expected to display their weaknesses, affection and to be independent. In these modern days, even though both men and women work but many still demand men to bear almost all of the family expenses. I know many would say that men should do so because women give birth to the child. But then again, it is only fair if both contribute to the family and not putting the burden wholly on the man. Gender roles like women stays at home while man brings home the bacon should be removed from our mentality. In dates, men are supposed to pay for everything even though both men and women should equally contribute to a relationship. The mentality that men are not required to take care of the children and is solely a women responsibility should also be excluded from our minds. Men ought to share ‘supposedly’ their wives’ responsibility like caring and nurturing for their children, cooking and other house chores. These shouldn’t be seen as demeaning towards men as these are pivotal roles in a family institution. Women should not be forced to stay at home to take care of kids themselves but rather both men and women should be given chance to work. Due to stereotyping and high expectation of the society towards men, men also do suffer in silence from depression but many are not willing to voice out their feelings due to social stigma which makes them feel inferior. This actually does impart a significant psychological influences towards men. For example most daycare centers prefer females than males as staff due to the thinking that sexual abuse may occur, but males themselves are also attributed for the low preference for daycare center jobs as they feel that it is emasculating and sissy. The same applies to male nurses where in general they are not accorded due attention. Ironically, female are making strides in the male-dominated fields in the past namely engineering, architecture and IT. So it is truly possible for a man to do a woman’s job if a woman can perform a man’s job. Jobs nowadays shouldn’t be gender typed. Men in general should be more open-minded, in this instance, they should not have the conception that they need to keep feelings to themselves and suffer in silence. Feelings and emotion are things that make us human. Men do become victim of sexual abuse and harassment too, just that men and society alike do not heard of it as much because these issues were hidden by the victims. I came across a US national website specifically addressing the problems of sexual abuse and provides education, research and therapy for male sexual abuse victims. This actually enlightens me that, at least, in the world there are people who really took men issues close to their heart. Bravo to them! Through this website, they taught me never to stereotype men when it comes to sexual harassment. They demystify conceptions by stating that boys and men can be victims of sexual abuse too. And disgusting conceptions such as men would enjoy sexual abuse from females as they experience arousal were also debunked. According to this website, arousal could be triggered by any traumatic or painful sexual circumstances. I think people should take time to browse this website: http

I agree completely. I read this website blog about 'if a boy has an ******** during sexual abuse, it's not considered bad, it's called sex. But if a GIRL is sexually abused, it's called rape. So if it's going to be fair by that means, then if a girl has a wet ****** during sexual abuse, it's not called rape anymore" There are hundreds of thousands of sexual abused boys, a lot by women, and if it is reported, it is a disgrace to the boys masculinity. It makes me so mad.

Would you like to share your knowledge or experience as a dentist/dental therapist

Would you like to share your knowledge or experience as a dentist/dental therapist?
I am a dental therapist working in Malaysia. But here we are called dental nurse instead of therapist. Currently no male nurse yet :) As a dental nurse our duties is to treat patients under 18 years old. We give oral health educations to the kids and treatments including restoration for both deciduous and permanent teeth, sealants, fluoride therapy, extraction for deciduous teeth. In certain area the nurses are given the training for permanent tooth extraction due to lack of dentist. We don't take radiographs or do pulpotomies like what I read in Wikipedia. We work at clinics, school based clinics and in mobile dental service or MDS. We have a very challenging work environment here especially the MDS team that visit rural areas and use obsolete equipments like micromotors. Some areas do not have electricity so we use generators and have to stay there like a week. MDS team usually visit 30 schools and more for a year and treat all the schoolchildren. Hot weather no air-cond and carrying, packing heavy stuffs around. Treatments at school based clinics and MDS are free because we work for the government.

Osama bin laden plan to send 100,000,000 arab soldiers into jerusalem, israel by 2012

Osama bin laden plan to send 100,000,000 arab soldiers into jerusalem, israel by 2012?
COME, LORD JESUS, ================ WHEN OSAMA BIN LADEN COME TO POWER IN SAUDI ARABIA HE PLAN TO SEND AS MANY AS 100,000,000 ARAB SOLDIERS INTO JERUSALEM, ISRAEL. OSAMA BIN LADEN SHOULD COME TO POWER BEFORE 2012 ON THE EVE OF THE RUSSIAN INVASION OF ISRAEL. THIS MEAN LEADERS GULF COOPERATION CUNCILL WILL HAVE TO LEAVE THEIR COUNTRY WITHIN 3 YEARS FROM NOW. JAPAN GROSS NATIONAL PRODUCT OR GNP IS ABOUT US 5,000,000,000,000 OR US$ 5 TRILLION DOLLARS. ARAB NATIONS GNP IS ABOUT US$ 5 TRILLION. THE GOVERNMENT OF MALAYSIA MUST BE ABLE TO HANDLE ALL THESE US$ 5 TRILLION DOLLARS FROM 22 ARAB NATIONS WITHIN THREE YEARS. ARAB POPULATION IS ABOUT 400,000,000 PEOPLE. 25% OF ARAB POPULATION IS ABOUT 100 MILLION SOLDIERS. IF WE BREAK 400 MILLION ARAB INTO FAMILY MEMBERS THEN THERE IS ABOUT 100 MILLION FATHERS, 100 MILLION MOTHERS, 100 MILLION BOYS AND 100 MILLION GIRLS. HENCE, ABOUT 100 MILLION ARAB FATHERS WILL BE GOING TO JERUSALEM FOR PILGRIMAGE. MUHAMMAD THE LEADER OF ISLAM WENT INTO HEAVEN FROM JERUSALEM, ISRAEL AND ALL 100 MILLION ARAB FATHERS WANT TO DO THE SAME. THEY WILL ALL GO TO JERUSALEM BY LAND, SEA, AIR AND UNDERGROUD. WE MUST REMEMBER THAT RUSSIA IS PLANNING TO SEND 40 MILION SOLDIERS, IRAN WILL SEND 20 MILLION SOLDIERS AND AFRO-AFRICAN WILL BE SENDING ABOUT 120 MILLION SOLDIERS INTO JERUSALEM, ISRAEL. AFRICAN HAS ABOUT 1,000,000,000 PEOPLE AND ABOUT 200 MILLION ARABS LIVE IN NORTH AFRICA WHILE 600 MILLION AFRO-AFRICAN LIVE IN WESTERN, CENTRAL, EASTERN AND SOUTHERN AFRICA. THERE ARE ABOUT 200 MILLION ARABS IN ASIA. HENCE, 20% OR 25% OF 600 MILLION AFRO-AFRICAN IS ABOUT 120 MILLION SOLDIERS. THE TOTAL WORLD POPULATION IS ABOUT 7,000,000,000 TO 8,000,000,000 PEOPLE AS WE REACH 2020 AD. HENCE, FOR EASY MATHS THERE ARE 2 BILLION FATHERS, 2 BILLION MOTHERS, 2 BILLION BOYS AND 2 BILLION GIRLS IN THE WORLD. WE MUST REMEMBER THAT THERE ARE 4 PARTS TO THE THIRD WORLD WAR NAMELY, PRESIDENT SADDAM HUSSIEN, PRESIDENT MIKHAIL GORBACHEV, PRESIDENT LI PENG AND EMPEROR JUAN CARLOS. ARAB EMPIRE LED BY PRESIDENT SADDAM PLAN TO INVADE JERUSALEM, ISRAEL BUT LOST IN 1991 AND 2001 BECAUSE ARAB NATIONS WERE DIVIDED BETWEEN PRO AMERICA BLOC, PRO EUROPEAN BLOC, PRO RUSSIA BLOC AND PRO THIRD WORLD BLOC?. RUSSIAN EMPIRE PLAN TO INVADE JERUSALEM, ISRAEL WITH 40,000,000 SOLDIERS IN 2012 AD. CHINESE EMPIRE PLAN TO INVADE JERUSALEM, ISRAEL WITH 200,000,000 SOLDIERS. EUROPEAN EMPIRE PLAN TO INVADE JERUSALEM, ISRAEL WITH 60,000,000 SOLDIERS. ANYWAY DURING THE RUSSIAN INVASION OF JERUSALEM, ISRAEL THERE COULD BE ABOUT 500,000,000 SOLDIERS FROM MANY NATIONS? AFTER RUSSIAN DEFEAT THE EUROPEAN NATIONS, CHINA AND OTHER NATIONS WILL SEND ANOTHER 500,000,000 SOLDIERS TO JERUSALEM, ISRAEL FOR THE LAST PART OF THE THIRD WORLD WAR. IT IS FUNNY THAT ABOUT 2 BILLION FATHERS PLAN TO VISIT JERUSALEM FOR THE LAST TIME BEFORE LORD JESUS CHRIST THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD RETURN TO JERUSALEM IN 2020 AD. WHEN LORD JESUS RETURN TO HIS NEW TEMPLE IN JERUSALEM, ISRAEL THEN ALL UNCLEAN PEOPLE CANNOT ENTER THE HOLY CITY AS MENTIONED IN THE AMERICAN BIBLE. NOW YOU KNOW WHY ALL THE FATHERS IN THIS WORLD WANT TO VISIT JERUSALEM BY HOOK OR CROOK BEFORE LORD JESUS COME. LOOK LIKE 2 BILLION FATHERS WILL BRING THEIR M16, AK47 AND RAMBO KNIVES TO JERUSALEM, ISRAEL. 20 6 "When you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, know that its desolation is at hand. 21 Then those in Judea must flee to the mountains. Let those within the city escape from it, and let those in the countryside not enter the city, 22 for these days are the time of punishment when all the scriptures are fulfilled. 23 Woe to pregnant women and nursing mothers in those days, for a terrible calamity will come upon the earth and a wrathful judgment upon this people. 24 They will fall by the edge of the sword and be taken as captives to all the Gentiles; and Jerusalem will be trampled underfoot by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles 7 are fulfilled. 25 "There will be signs in the sun, the moon, and the stars, and on earth nations will be in dismay, perplexed by the roaring of the sea and the waves. 26 People will die of fright in anticipation of what is coming upon the world, for the powers of the heavens 8 will be shaken. 27 And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. (LORD JESUS CHRIST THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD) THE BIBLE SAID THAT ABOUT TWO-THIRD OF THE ISRAELIS WILL DIE WHILE ONE-THIRD ISRAELIS WILL MOVE INTO THE 1,000 YEARS OF PEACE. SO IT LOOK LIKE ABOUT 4,000,000 ISRAELIS WILL DIE WHILE 2,000,000 ISRAELIS WILL MOVE INTO THE 1,000 YEARS OF PEACE. THESE MEAN THAT EVERY YEAR AN EVERAGE ABOUT 100 MILLION SOLDIERS WILL BE IN JERUSALEM, ISRAEL. GOD BLESS ISRRAEL. MR. ROBIN DONALD. KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA. DATE; 18TH, SEPTEMBER, 2010.

Translator/Interpreting in the US armed forces

Translator/Interpreting in the US armed forces?
Hey guys, I have a few questions about whether becoming a translator/interpreter in the US armed forces is a good career path. A little background on me might help pout so here it goes: I am currently in college working towards a degree in the social sciences, I am US born and raised but of Lebanese heritage and have lived there when I was younger as well as in other Middle-Eastern and North African countries as well as in many other countries around the world (such as Mexico, Thailand, Spain, Malaysia, Morocco, Tunisia and Guatemala) and am quite fluent in Spanish and French though my Arabic ironically is only rudimentary but even though I can read and write it (albeit poorly). My friend in the national guard suggests strongly that I should become an interpreter/translator in the US armed forces because I love to learn about culture, traveling, learning foreign languages and have a talent for it. I have been planning on going into nursing but I have doubts as to whether it would be right for me, also my sister is a nurse and she says that i would hate it (from what she knows about me). I have also heard that interpreters/translators in the US armed forces make around 150k a year, is this true or highly exaggerated as it seems to me. Finally, my last question is, what branch of the US Armed forces are best to work in as a translator/interpreter in terms of pay, adventure, benefits, etc..? I have babbled on long enough, any advice or educated opinions and personal expertise in these fields would be very much appreciated. Thanks everyone!

Any branch right now will pay very well and also if you finish college you can become an officer. Then after the armed forces you can go towards homeland security or the CIA, and if you don't want to join the armed forces try these two first.
2 :
interpreters that wear a us uniform make the same salaries as everyone else. Some do make a yearly bonus, but that is usually only for serving after your initial contract which will be 4-6 years. You might run into some trouble getting your security clearance due to have lived abroad, but other than that you should be fine. There is usually a good sign on bonus for interpreters, but a bonus should not be the reason to pick a job in the army, pick one you'd like to make a career out of in or after the army. If you want to become a nurse, look at the medical jobs for the army, they provide extensive training, and most states consider the training to be exceeding EMT-B licensing.
3 :
Only ENLISTED personnel are linguists. and no they don't make $150K a year. for the Navy at least, they do NOT translate, they only transcribe. Few personnel are actually out there in the thick of things acting as translators. depending on when you lived in those countries and WHY you lived there, you may be ineligible for a Security Clearance, which means no Linguist job. Pay and bennies are the same across all five branches. as for adventure.. well,if you want to be in the desert Translating for the CO , then stick with Marines and Army..and even then, you may not be doing that.
4 :
There are 3 entry level jobs in the U.S. Army that use language skills: 09L Translator/Interpreter 35M Human Intelligence Collector 35P Cryptologic Linguist 09L does not require a security clearance, but it requires a certain minimum proficiency in a middle eastern language. 35M does not actually require you to speak a foreign language at all; but if you do, the Army will take advantage of that, and pay you extra for it. Requires a Top Secret clearance. 35P (initially 35W) typically sends you to language school first, then you go out in the Army as a linguist. Requires a Top Secret clearance. All three of these jobs pay about the same, approximately $1,800 per months during training. The $150,000 is what you could potentially make as a civilian contractor after your service. I'm not sure if you will qualify for a clearance or not, the only person who can really tell you that is the Security Interviewer at the Military Entrance Processing Station. And, finally, I recommend the Army. I've been in the Army for 8.5 years, and I like it. My wife was in for 5 years as a linguist, and she liked it, too. Feel free to email me if you have any more questions. Good Luck By the way, if you do decide to go into the medical field later, the Army can train you as a Physician's Assistant, Physical Therapist, or Registered Nurse; regardless of what job you do in the Army.

Where should i start? (career in environmental conservation.)

Where should i start? (career in environmental conservation.)?
My name is Kim 18 years old, form Malaysia. I just graduated from my High school last year(2007). I really interested in activities like saving the mother nature, saving animals and also activities about recycle , but i don't know where should i start? What should i study ? And where should i go? Do i have to be a science stream student?(because i am not) What qualification do i need ? is there any courses? i just wanted to know what is the name of this kind of job, i know this field is big, but i have no idea where should i start in order to make myself involve or work in some association like WWF(World Wildlife Fund).I really hope i can work in this association. I really hope that i can go for courses about conservation on animals and so on. I wish to work in this association , not just because of my interested in mother nature..i really treat this as my career. If i study Nursing , can i get in this field?...will nursing help? Anyway, sorry for the inconvenience and Thank you very much in Advance^^ Looking forward to your reply..^^ I had mail to WWF, and they told me that i can start by volunteer ...but i have no idea what r we gonna do.

There's all kinds of jobs in the field. Administrative jobs would require a degree in business administration, accounting or some such, as well as some knowledge of the field. If you don't want to be a scientist, than you can teach, which will require a lot of work in itself, of course. Personally, being a scientist is the best of these jobs. I've been there. A degree in biology, with a focus on ecology is a great way to get started. If you want to learn more without comitting yourself to a particular career, look for local educational courses in your area, as well as any scientific organizations that may have field stations somewhere in your region. WWF isn't the only environmental organization in Malasia. The Smithsonian Institute also operates there. Check it out online.
2 :
Volunteer as much as you can in a different range of fields to give you some experience. I started out volunteering for one summer and it was the best time of my life. Read a lot, explore the outdoors, and make every effort that you can to et into a college, university, or other post-secondary school that provides courses and degrees in the natural sciences. Join professional societies and nonprofit organizations related to what you are interested in and get connected to many people already working in fields that interest you.

Volunteering with different organizations is a good way to start. You can be involved in environmental protection without necessarily taking a lot of science courses by focusing on environmental policy and environmental law. Good communication skills are crucial. Classes to consider taking include biology, ecology, environmental science, environmental policy, technical writing, natural resources, range management etc. Good luck!

Hi, Study contruction or test products that actually save energy. Stay away from gov't regulation. The best indicator of efficiency is cost.

Hello Kim, I was just reading an interesting book a few hours ago that has a few types of jobs you may be interested in. The book is "How'd You Score That Gig?" by Alexandra Levit. The jobs were: 1. Conservationists are in charge of protecting, managing, and restoring a country's natural resources. They may hold a minimum of bachelor's degree in agriculture, biology, ecology, etc. You can also check in the "Occupational Outlook Handbook", if it is available where you live for more specific types of conservationists. Websites: www.conservation.org, www.thesca.org, www.wilderness.org. 2. Oceanographers try to understand the ocean systems and how they relate to other areas in the world and the results of human interference on the oceanic environment. Bachelor's not required but very helpful. Websites: www.eco.org, www.seagrant.noaa.org, www.onr.navy.mil. 3. "Environmental Engineers protect public health and safety and ensure nature's ecology are not adversely affected." Usually requires bachelor's degree. Websites: www.nspe.org, www.aaee.net, www.ncees.org. I hope these tips helped.
6 :
When/while you're doing your WWF volunteering, pay attention to the types of positions the entire organization has. Also, keep an eye on any type of job board or possitions offered. I will bet that somewhere in that organization they even have some medical people. In general, the more education you can get, the more of a "career" you will have. The higher up the organization you can get, the more decision power you will have. Chances are, the more decision power you have, the more satisfied you will feel with your efforts. Also, in general you trade education/ or lack there of, for labor in an organization. If you do not have education based skills to bring to the team, you often end up bringing phyisical labor skills to the team. When you are 18, young, and in reasonable physical shape you tend to bring more physical labor skills to the team and it is a possible thing. But, typically when you age you lose your physical labor capabilities and must rely upon your experience based skills and/or your knowledge. This is an important consideration if you want to remain active with any organization for a life time. While you are doing your volunteering, do keep an eye open on growth opportunities at WWF in general, and locally. Is there opportunity to get a paying, entry level position; if so, what types and what skills/knowlege do they require? If you come into an entry level position are there internal learning opportunities and, is it something that will allow you to pursue formal education outside the organization? Even if you do get a degree or more, are there positions within the organization that you simply can't break through? For example, in many organizations few if any janitors can get a more advanced position despite the number of degrees that the organization paid tution for. For example, I knew a woman who got a lower grade manufacturing position at a company. That same company paid out of their training funds for the completion of her 4 year degree, two masters degrees, and over half of her doctoriate. After she got her 4 year degree, she started applying for salaried positions within the same company and had troubles even getting a first interview. She decided to get her doctorate when she was offered a salaried position at a lower wage than what she was getting in her lower level factory position. She was barred from speaking to the college recruiters from this same company because she already worked for the company. Although the company had paid for the completion of three degrees and over half of her fourth degree, she made the decision to go elsewhere after she got her doctorate just to get a decent job with respect to her education. Meanwhile, treat your volunteering position as an entry level job in your career field This means exploring your options. It means working towards getting as much knowledge and as many skills as you can. It means that you dig out a resume form and start writing a resume capitulating your volunteer experiences in terms of sellable knowledge and skills. This will help keep you on track, help you get a paying job in the field, and very likely help you if you decide to further your formal education.

What is the problem that you are facing? I saw you answering a question perfectly on the difference between a Passport and a Visa. Now I can see that you have again fallen into the trap of repetitive questions of "Certificate Attestation for...." I was wondering where your past similar questions are where the country names were changing for identical questions. You were once found to be promoting some Certificate Attestation company in the disguise of asking question. Please correct me if I am wrong. You may be violating the Community Guidelines of Y!A. My mom's family

My mom's family...?
My mom just found out that my grandpa has Alzheimer's disease. My uncle has known for 6 months, yet didn't tell anyone and let my grandparents go back to malaysia from Oregon. My grandparents have 5 kids. Not one of those 5 kids except for my mom has showed interest in taking care of them, but we are moving so it would be almost impossible.. My mother nad sister are the only ones who care. They have a bad relationship with the other brother and sister, and one of the brother's has lost contact with the family. They don't want to send my grandfather to a nursing home. And be reminded my grandpa lives in Malaysia(asia, close to india). What can we do to help?

move to malaysia, or get him back here!
2 :
my grandma has alzheimers and i know its hard. the bestyou can do is help him get his will in order. i really hate to tell you this but probably the best thing for you to do is put him in asisted living when he starts going downhill. theres a difference in assisted living because there you can walk around on you own and youre pretty much alone except they help you get dressed if needed and come get you for dinner that kind of stuff. im sorry i couldnt help you out more. good luck!
3 :
not to scare you but my grandma died from that. alzheimers can be very dangerous. they usually get violent because they dont know who you are and they are trying to protect themselves and they get angry becaus they cant remember so they once again get dangerous. they will stop eating forget and burn down the house the best thing to do is put him in a nursing home sorry
4 :
You guys should book a plane flight to get him to your house. It would be cruel to leave him sick in a nursing home and you guys 1/2 way across the world. So You guys can sent someone over there and let them pick him up. And he should move in with you guys. Im sure your uncle had a good reason that he didnt want to tell you guys. Maybe he didnt want to stress the family out. It's very hard to find out that a beloved family member is sick. So you cant really blame him. I understand that your mother is the only one who shows interest. Maybe try to get the family together for a gathering. ANd you guys can talk about what you can do to help him. Well the ones that you can reach... Good Luck!

Is it possible for you to be scheduled an interview with the US Embassy without the required documents?
I know a registered nurse here in Malaysia who passed the NCLEX and everything and has been waiting for a working visa immigrant status petition for 7 years already, he said that his interview is a week from now but he is not sure if it will go through coz all his required documents are in the States and he still doesn't have the proof of job offer which he needs to present, he says it's in the agency's hands, is it even possible for you to be scheduled for interview without such documents in the first place?

1 :
You need a four year degree to get a work visa. You need to graduate from a Japanese school. And the chances of a non Japanese male being hired as a nurse are slim to none.
2 :
People in this forum will tell you repeatedly "you need a four-year degree" and "Japanese never hire foreigners to do anything except teach English." This is crap. Utter crap. My evidence? 900,000 ZAINICHI KOREANS IN JAPAN CAN'T ALL BE TEACHING ENGLISH! The four-year degree "requirement" is slightly more true, though there are a few ways you can work in Japan without it (like having many years of verifiable experience in the field). However, if you're going to become a nurse, I think you'll need a degree of some type (that's how it is in my country). I'd actually say that if you learn fluent Japanese, your chances of becoming a nurse are VERY good. You know why? Because Japan has a HUGE dependency ratio and a rapidly aging population. In some parts of Japan, 1/3 of the population is elderly, already! They're going to need more nurses than they currently have! The birth rate in Japan is so low, new nurses aren't being born at the rate necessary to sustain the elderly population. Even if Japan hates foreigners, they have no choice -- SOMEBODY has to do the nursing. I believe Japan is already importing nurses from the Philippines, so why not Malaysia? You should have a nursing credential in your home counry, preferably a nursing credential in Japan (attend Japanese uni if possible), and speak fluent Japanese (at least JLPT Level 1, preferably higher than the JLPT exams go). If you do those things, I think you have a reasonable shot. Some people on Yahoo! Answers (mostly English teachers) just can't think outside the eikaiwa box, which is sad for them. @alex_in What you say is true of a few Zainichi Koreans, but the vast majority immigrated to Japan AFTER 1945. It is a widely-held Korean nationalist misconception that most of the Zainichi Koreans today are descendants of "conscripted slave labor," but actually if you look at the statistics, they are only a small percentage of the Zainichi Koreans still there. Almost all the Zainichi Koreans I know are either first-generation or second-generation, not third or fourth. They found work in Japan that wasn't English teaching. Why can't the asker?
3 :
About ZAINICHI KOREANS.... In 1910, Japan colonized Korean Peninsula, and continued to do so until Japan was defeated in WW II. (Don't ask me or blame me on any political issues, nor start any political discussions. I am just reporting the sad historical fact.) Between these years, many Koreans moved to Japan or sometimes forced to move to Japan to work at weapons factories. After WW II, some of them didn't return to their homeland. They were given permanent residency to stay in Japan. The same goes to Taiwanese. Current Zainichi Koreans are these people and the descendants of these people. Some of children of Zainichi Korean may attend Korean schools in Japan which teach Korean language in addition to Japanese school carriculum, but many attended regular Japanese grade schools. Most attend Japanese universities if they ever advance to that level. So, the 2nd generation Zainichi Korean and younger are educated in Japanese school systems. They are legally the permanent residents of Japan when they are born. They are a kind of the victims of WW II war who were in the wrong place at the wrong time. As for the nursing position in Japan, you need to pass the national exam for nurse license. To pass that exam, it is most likely to be required to atten a Japanese nurse school. Currently, Japan has an agreement with Philippins to invite Filipino people, who passed her/his country's nurse exam, to Japan, study Japanese language while working as an assistant in a hospital, and study for the Japanese nurse exam. If he/she passes the exam, a visa is renewed for 3 years. There's no limit for the number of renewals of visa. So, theoretically, he/she can stay in Japan permanently. Currently, the Philippins is the only country which has such an agreement with Japan. Can you move to Philippins?
4 :
To become a nurse in Japan, you need to have a nurse license of Japan. To get its license, you need to go to 2-4 year nursing school and take a national exam, pass it. It's difficult because you need to start from elementary level Japanese. Another option is, as another says, Japan is inviting nurses from Philippines and Indonesia. So you may find a way to become one of those although you are in Malaysia.

salary in malaysia are below suck..... do u agree

salary in malaysia are below suck..... do u agree?
especially if u r a government servant..no wonder police always accept bribes, after working more than 23 years as a techer with a diploma my mom salary is still merely 2+++,working as a clerk with endless workload maby get u 900 bucks(minus epf =750),working at kfc or mcd get u few buck enough just to pay ur rental room and ur foods and to buy ur montly train travel ticket, fresh grad pay around 1500.do u think its enough?i dont think these people can even afford to go to clinic if they fall sick......or pay for medical expenses if they got sick and not covered by insurance or company panel clinic.i'd rather die than to go to the general hospital.with its massive crowds and the super snobbish nurses.Seriously, malaysian deserve to have pay raise especially with the high living cost nowadays.see the gulf countries.they give pay fairly .see how rich the arabs and how comfortable their life that hordes of them floods the malaysian streets every summer with their entourage. if i were a politician in the dewan negara i would absolutely suggest the minimum salary to be set at 6 or 7 ringgit per hour..... chicken, dont be offended,im talking based on my experience,i just went to kl gh a week ago,to accompany a friend of mine ,and i'm nearly slap a face of a rude young female nurse coz she was screaming at me .she was like : you guys dont know how to wait outside?(yelling with her sour face). If i tell the truth...is that call insulting?i know millions of people have the same opinion with me,government hospital service can be irritating anyway chicken....teaching is not a 9-5 job...teachers merely work from 8-1,but their workload are so much that they sacrifice their times with their own family as part of their commitment and what shall we do?no chicken we shouldnt leave the country, but instead we should fight for our right!its not fair that ur boss spending lots of money for his business class expenses, for his refreshment with clients at big hotels, his golf game, his car feul, his phone bills, casual lunch for company superior at hotels ,and yet....they pay u a meager i know many people out there making side income source, like having 2 jobs, direct selling, selling this and that, freelancing ,swiss cash, forex and whatever s*** some even sell at pasar malam ......its a pity that our malaysian have to go through this to cope with the increasing living standard, the rich become more rich and the poor become poorer, bosses got all sort of privilleges and workers dying working to build the company profile

On the other hand, you work for so little that you steal American jobs and increase our unemployment here in America. So why should I care about you, you have a job?
4 :
Yes. You almost gave all the answers
5 :
Well, when I went back to Malaysia 2 years ago, I was absolutely in shock at how much RM1 can get you and it got you very little. I went to Starbucks and already a cup of coffee cost RM10+. That's coffee folks. For me it was no problem because I am making money in US Dollars & I figured if I was making RM25,000+ a month, I would be pretty well off in Malaysia (if only I could find that job in Malaysia). But seriously for the locals, it must really be difficult to live in Malaysia if you make less than RM5000. Money value is so small nowand if you live and work in Kuala Lumpur, its a struggle as even food cost a lot more.
6 :
Totally agree, everything price went up but not salary.
7 :
yup.. someone from us probably may be elected to be dewan negara rep so that we can fight for minimum wage...
8 :
agree with you 100%
9 :
Yes. The salary in Malaysia is currently very low compared to other progressive countries. However, the prices of goods in Malaysia is considered cheaper than many other progressive countries. In my opinion, Malaysia government is able to increase the salary of their workers equivalent to other nations if they could get rid of corruption totally. Corruption give a very serious impact on government revenue. as such, government do not have sufficient funds to develop the country. Moreover to pay their workers with fat salary. The Malaysian people should have consorted effort to fight corruption and should avoid being self centred. They should think of helping the government to achieve their goals for the benefit of the nation and its people. Otherwise, nothing will change and the people will become poorer and poorer. If U want to progress, U have to look at things at a bigger perspective not only at yourself.
10 :
So what shall we do? Leave the country? You need to learn to live with it. If u need a better pay, get a job with higher responsibilities and risk. Life might be stressful but it fulfills your criteria for a better pay. Not a 9-5 teaching job. Try not insulting the government hospitals. It is a place where many lives have been saved and serves the society, just like the school. You rather die than going to government hospital?? uhuh, what about the rest of Malaysians who are depending on government hospital? you advising them to die rather than seeking for medical treatments? And the snobbish nurses that you were insulting have most probably done million noble deeds. They clean people’s poo p, change diapers, clean vomitus, feed the disabled babies, helped your mum during her deliveries, and list goes on ..Etc.
11 :
What you did mentioned was only some extreme cases which I still can agree with you.actually for fresh grad, basically the pay is around 1800-2500MYR/m.Some might get below and some might lucky to get >2500.For me,I'm fresh grad and currently attach to a Dutch company operating here as a reprersentative office for asia pac.I earn 3000/m.My friend's basic sdalary is 1500/m,buttt he frequently go to offshore, and after add up with his travel allowances++, average he could earn up to 5k monthly. It just the matter of luck. But overall,I agree with you,the average salary here in Malaysia is suck.
12 :
Too many public servants, don't work also get pay at the month, why so hardworking, work never end lah..... If you want fast service pay under the table loh or else wait loh! Reduce the manpower, improve the efficiency, don't suka suka pocket money, then will be enough to pay the good guys

Why are rich Asian countries not expected to be politically correct

Why are rich Asian countries not expected to be politically correct?
The UK, US, France, Sweden, the Netherlands, etc, are all absolutely full of immigrants, and in the case of the UK and the Netherlands completely over-populated. To suggest that immigration needs to be more controlled leaves you open to all sorts of accusations of being a racist or a bigot in rich white countries. On the other hand, rich Asian countries like Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan and perhaps Malaysia have notoriously tough immigration policies, it's nowhere as easy to immigrate to those countries as it is rich white countries. The governments only want highly educated, already wealthy immigrants. You get absolutely no hand-outs in those countries and to get citizenship is ridiculously difficult, in the case of Japan in most cases you have to be part Japanese to stand a chance. Japan takes a few low-paid Filipino nurses but they almost always go home after a few years when their visa runs out, they never get permanent residence. Yet no one calls these countries racist or bigoted for this? If rich white countries treated immigrants like this we'd be called racist and selfish, yet the world leaves these countries free to treat people how they like. In those countries you can't be considered a part of that country unless you are racially from that country, in the West that is considered an extremely racist attitude. The Japanese and Chinese were colonialists too so don't pull that crap.

i dont think some people even know what the word racist means
2 :
Because political correctness is a very American syndrome, like the McCarthy Inquisition and so forth. Racism has nothing to do with immigration. Unqualified workers do not contribute in an industrialized nation like a skilled worker does, instead has a tendency of ending up as a burden on society. That's why.
3 :
There are 33 people per square km in U.S. And there are 6361 people per square km in HongKong. Which should be called "over-populated" ?
4 :
Because Hong Kong, Japan and Taiwan already have natives. The Cantonese, Japanese and Chinese/Taiwanese people already inhabit those countries. Europe could impose tough immigration policies, but because they had colonized almost the entire world, they are forced to open their borders to people who immigrate from their former colonies to Europe. So countries like the UK and France who had colonies in America, Africa and Asia have a moral obligation to allow people from these countries to reside in the UK and France. It's their fault for colonizing the entire world, now it's their responsibility to cater for foreigners who used to live in their colonies. The only real natives of the US are American Indians. Everybody else is a foreigner. The US therefore has an obligation to allow immigrants, because unless you're an American Indian, you are technically a foreigner. The US does not belong to white people. They can't just shut off the continent from people of other races. The same applies to Australia, New Zealand and Canada. ------------------------------ Yes, Japan and China were colonists but did they colonize Africa? South America? Europe? When Japan occupied the Philippines in WWII, hundreds of thousands of Filipinos flocked to Japan and there is a substantial population of Filipinos in Japan to this day The Muslim state of Xinjiang and the Buddhist state of Tibet belong to China, as a result, the Chinese also have millions of Muslims and Tibetans in their country. Japan and China are not as homogenous as you think they are. Furthermore, Europe colonized North America, South America, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. Therefore you would expect much much more multiculturalism in Europe compared to Japan or China Here's a perfect example for you How many African countries speak Chinese or Japanese? None. How many African countries speak French, English, Portuguese, Spanish? A lot. Where will many of these Africans therefore immigrate to if they wanted to leave Africa? France, UK, Portugal, Spain etc etc That's the price Europe paid for colonizing
5 :
Those countries still have a sense of ethnic loyalty to themselves. They want to preserve their national culture and ethnic heritage much like the U.S.A. did before the disastrous 1965 Immigration Reform Bill. Also it helps that their governments are not filled with elements that don't consider themselves Japanese but rather a distinct ethnic group that would feel safer living in a multicultural Japan, China, Singapore, etc. Thus they can resist multicultural American propaganda.

How much would an animator earn in Malaysia and/or Singapore

How much would an animator earn in Malaysia and/or Singapore?
Kay... it's like this. I'm a M'sian and I LUV luv luv luv LUV animation (2D & 3D)! I absolutely adore it! It's my passion and it's what I want to pursue in the future. My dream... like many other aspiring animators is to work in Pixar and Disney.... But of course I'm taking it one step at a time. So now... I'm preparing to go to college and I know what I want to take right? But the problem is that some of my relatives think that animation is not a suitable course because it doesn't make that much money.... and that animation is for school dropouts who have not much option left. They want me to take a broader subject like computer science, I.T., nursing, or multimedia cuz I will have more job opportunities and be safer money-wise. I know it's totally ridiculous(though I didn't tell them that, of course)... cause animators DO make good money and it's not some trivial-last-resort kind of job either..... it's hard work. Besides.... I'm not doing it for the money, I'm doing it because I LUV it... But they mean well, and I'm grateful for them. However, they did make one good point... that is M'sia does not have much job opportunities for animators as other countries such as Korea, and the U.S... M'sia is just beginning to discover the potential of animation. It will take years before they become (if they becum) an 'animation hub of the world.' So if I become an animator here after graduating I might just end up designing or animating web pages for various companies. If I want to find real work I have to go overseas which my parents can't afford. So I guess my question should be, "Can a Malaysian make a living being an animator in his own country?" I don't want to end up having to do some small job... I want to create characters, I want to put colors into new ideas, I want to make my stories come to life and share them with everyone! But I can't just follow my dreams and not get a single cent... because I have to help my other siblings fulfill their ambition too. Are my relatives right? Should I take a broader course just to be safe or should I put all my effort and passion into specializing in animation? Are there any M'sian animators reading this? HOW MUCH ARE YOU EARNING? Give me some proof that I can show my relatives that I can make a living being an animator in my own country. Help me pls. If I have no choice but to go overseas, Singapore is my best option. I heard that they have a universal studio over there. How much would I make in Singapore then? anyone?

Traveling to Malaysia, will I need to vaccinate baby

Traveling to Malaysia, will I need to vaccinate baby?
Hi, was wondering if anyone has any advice about infant vaccinations or can let me know where I need to go to get advice. We will be traveling to Malaysia with our 3 month old baby for 10 days visiting KL and Lankowi in April. How young can babies be vaccinated and what vaccines should she have if any? She is fully breast fed. We are not bothering with any vaccines ourselves unless it is important? Unfortunately I live in a remote area in Australia and the GP's here are hopeless, I can guarantee they will not have the information I need that is why I am asking, in fact the child health nurse I just spoke to had no idea and told me to ring around health organisations etc. If it turns out I do need to vaccinate her I will be traveling to the city (2.5 hour plane ride) to get it done. Hi to avoid confusion especially with ppl from the US our baby has had ALL the standard vaccinations required here in Australia, its called immunisation here. I am talking about additional vaccines not normally given here ie: yellow fever, malaria etc.

better safe then sorry
2 :
Google the CDC (Center for Disease Control), they will know what vaccines are appropriate. I would say yes because of yellow fever.
3 :
I do not think that just because you are going to Malaysia you should get certain vaccines. Your daughter should be vaccinated regardless of location. Here is a vaccination schedule for the United States for children 0-6 years. http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/recs/schedules/downloads/child/2009/09_0-6yrs_schedule_pr.pdf I would say keep her skin covered and avoid bugs and be extremely careful with her, and kids grow up fine in Malaysia so I hope that your trip goes swimmingly.
4 :
YES ! I had to travel a lot with my little girl now 4 and everytime she would have to take prevention medication and sometimes vaccines. The airplane itself is full of germ. Dont forget to take your regular baby motrin and tylenol and some medication you would use if you were here. Other countries you dont always get the original brand and sometimes expired dates too on medicine. Hold your babies ears at take of time in the plane Good luck and Enjoy your trip
5 :
http://www.traveldoctor.com.au/ I wouldn't vaccinate myself in KL or Lankowi but it doesn't hurt to ask the question about a 3 month old. To be honest it is reasonably sanitised in KL and Lankowi these days these places are not the backwaters of asia. Give these guys a call, they can give better advise (you don't have to take it after all they are in the business of making money) than anyone on here, you may not be able to travel to the city but they may be able to tell you what to tell your local GP.

Co sleepers, how can I get my 6 month old to fall asleep in his crib without nursing to sleep

Co sleepers, how can I get my 6 month old to fall asleep in his crib without nursing to sleep?
My son had pretty bad jaundice and tracheal malaysia which caused him to gasp for breath every now and again. I have also had a difficult healing process including uterine infection, hemorrhage, and mastitis as a result of all this I chose to co sleep with my baby, he often nursed to sleep and now I cannot get him to sleep unless I nurse him and usually once I get out of bed he wakes up! I am returning to medical school in the fall and he will be in daycare so I need him to learn to sleep on his own. I still want to breastfeed and I dont mind if he wakes in the middle of the night to eat as long as he goes back to bed. The cry it out methods have said not to feed him at night but really I dont mind.

well. really i just let my baby cry it out the dr said let them scream but for no longer than 15 minutes. so every fifteen minutes i went in, pput my hand on her tummy, told her it was oky, and gave her a binkie next night, fell asleep in crib with no porblem
2 :
my son started sleeping all through the night at 2 months and what i would do just put him down and stay with him for a bit and rub his tummy, then slowly walk away little by little make sure he can still see you, then walk away out of the room and let him cry for a bit, dont worry they'll be fine...you can check on him every now and then just dont let him see you. And he'll be skeeping alone in no time. Good luck
3 :
stick to a consistent bedtime routine with bedtime. feed the babe a nice meal and breastfeed him. put him in his crib, turn on the nightlight & sound soother, give him a book, and close the door. he will learn to self soothe. try a pacifier if your child is more oral -it helps.

i breastfeed and also co slept with my daughter, shes almost 9 months and still needs to nurse to fall asleep, its a habit i guess, lol..but i dont mind,( she wont take pacifiers) i do put her in her crib now, so she does sleep in there for half of the night, but the other half she sleeps with me, just as soon as you are done feeding her, just lay her gently in her crib, until her next feeding and do it again, it will get easier...my daughter never stays up when she wants her middle of the night feeding, we got her on a scheduale when she was 2 months old, =] good luck and dont give up

You should pursue a career of your interest. if nursing is your interest, then you can consider it as a career choice. personally i don't think it wise to choose a career based on your migration-asiprations, as this can change over time. eg. what makes you think that when you graduate with a bursing qualification that US will still have shortage of nurses that it needs to employ foreign nurses? And even if you manage to get to the US and be a nurse, can you predict that when you are in your in your mid-30s or 40s that you will not want to go back to Malaysia? And what then? Will you want to be a nurse in malaysia?

Maybe you are just stressing yourself out; you remembered the incident with your grandfather and it is in the back of your mind. Also, you might just be a nervous person, worrying about taking proper care of the sick or injured. After awhile, you will build your confidence and you will be just fine.

Nursing or Chef? Which one should I go for

Nursing or Chef? Which one should I go for?
Okay, I got two offer to continue my study. First is nursing, and another one is culinary arts. I always wanted to be a nurse. A great nurse, but at the same time, my passion for culinary arts is very high, and now I can't decide which one should I go for. I don't really mind about the salary, really. I just wanted to give a great public service. So, which course should I go and pick? Cooking for people or healing people? I'm 19 years old, Male from Terengganu, Malaysia.

Providing much needed health care to people is very important especially in Asian countries where a lot of people do not get proper health care. You may be able to combine the degrees and become a nutrition specialist. This way you have a medical profession that is mingled with your love of cooking, and you're providing both services to people.
2 :
If you really want to help people, go nursing all the way.
3 :
Both careers are noble. Both have opportunities to serve others. One pays 3-4 times higher wage. It may not matter now, but it will when you turn 60. Nursing is hard work but has more opportunity to advance to a teaching or desk job. Cooking is hard work and remains so. The cooks I know who work in a Metropolitan city make around $14/hr in a retirement home. It is hard, hard work. In the United States, you can't live on that salary. If you don't succeed as a cook in an upscale restaurant, you will have to take whatever job you can find. Do you plan to have a family? If so, you will need to support them. Why not go for the higher pay and use your culinary passion on weekends. Feed the poor????

What to do? Sri Lanka or Malaysia

What to do? Sri Lanka or Malaysia?
The three of us are going to do two weeks volunteering in Sri Lanka as we'll be qualified nurses this summer, we'll be based in Kandy. We were considering flying to Malaysia (found flights for £120) thinking of heading there for a week of our month, is that a good time to spend there? We'll be going to Sri Lanka mid August and Malaysia beginning of september? Any tips on both Sri Lanka and Malaysia? We've only got a month before starting work!

SRI LANKA - the city of 'Kandy' is in the hills so you'll have nice weather during that time. There's a very beautiful and historically important event happening in Kandy during August which is the "Kandy Perehara" (pageant) and it'll be a fantastic experience for you if you could come in time for that. General tips - cotton is the best type of garment to wear because of our sunny weather. generally shorts or tops with straps are OK for casual day- to- day wear but when visiting religious places it is mandatory to have your body covered as in you can wear pants or long skirts and tops with sleeves. food might be a little spicy for you but its tasty... long distance traveling is possible by bus, train or private vehicles which are for hire but the "trishaw" or "3 wheeler" - a small contraption with 3 wheels is the most common mode of transport. since you are based in Kandy walking will give you the best sight seeing though. Have mineral water which is freely available for sale or boiled and cooled water. even though waterborne deceases are very rare here its better to be safe. Ours is a beautiful country. We have everything!! Sunny weather, beautiful beaches, magnificent rain forests, historical sites, Mountains, Wild life parks... you name it we have it .. and being an Island, this is all within a few hundred KM!! So, I think you'll have many places to visit without going to any other country. The most important aspect of our country is our people!! you will not find a more friendlier, helpful and caring group of citizens with smiling faces to top it, anywhere in the world !! :-) oh and about 95% of us speak and understand some level of English!

I always encourage young girls to take up nursing. The staring pay may not be that good . But think of the long term. First of all, the course is free, normally sponsored by the hospital, A job is guranteed at the end of the course. Malaysian nurses are highly in demand from all over the world, many of them that I know are working in the Middle East, England, Australia, ect.. Don't forget that there's also oppotunities of you marrying a doctor. Bright future! Bright future, go for it.
